Our story began in two distinct yet pivotal moments.
Part I: On an ordinary day at a roadside tea stall in Delhi, a group of us—professional photographers—gathered over cups of tea. As we shared stories and relaxed, one of us snapped a breathtaking shot of the tea vendor pouring tea from his traditional teapot into a cup. At the time, we all worked as product photographers for an online food delivery company, and this tea stall had become our regular meeting spot. After processing the image, we were genuinely impressed with the result. It was beautiful, raw, and captured an authentic moment, but we found ourselves wondering, “How can we share this incredible work with the world?” The question lingered, unanswered, until the second moment happened.
Part II: Over time, our hard drives were filled with stunning high-resolution images—each one a reflection of our passion for photography. Then, one day, a relative of one of our friends saw one of our photos and asked if we could print it for him. He was so captivated by it that he wanted to display it in his home. That was the moment everything clicked. We suddenly knew exactly what we wanted to do—share our work, and let others enjoy the art we had created.
As we explored the idea further, we realized there was a clear gap in the market. Most wall décor available was either mass-produced or reproduced work, often lacking originality. The market was flooded with generic art from large manufacturing hubs, and it was hard to find truly unique pieces that felt personal and authentic.
That’s when we decided to make a difference. We set out to create original, handmade, and personalized artwork to adorn the walls of homes and businesses, and PhotoGurus was born. We wanted to bring our passion for photography to life in a way that made it accessible, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
